Search terms

A name or location entered in a search box passes to the outside provider that operates that tool. Davis County Recent Arrests does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling.

Messages

When you send an email or contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share the message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.

Automatic Technical Data

Routine server, analytics, and advertising systems may collect technical details when a page loads:

• Internet Protocol address;
• browser type and version;
• device type and operating system;
• pages viewed and time spent;
• referring page, if available;
• date and time stamps.

Cookies

Cookies help measure site use and support certain functions. Browser controls can reject or delete them, although some features may then work differently.

How Data Is Used

Links may lead to the Davis County Sheriff, IowaVINE, Iowa Courts, Iowa corrections, federal locators, news archives, and outside search tools. Once you leave, the destination’s own privacy policy applies. Advertising partners may measure activity across websites for interest-based ads through their systems, not ours.

Parties Receiving Data

We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed by search partners that handle a query, analytics providers, advertising networks, and law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.

Security Is Best Effort

We use standard safeguards suited to the information and service. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.

Adults Only

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Iowa Code chapter 22 governs access to government records, but it does not govern private-site privacy requests to us.
